Our Showsite
Our Showsite
Welcome to Logspan’s Glasgow showsite – the largest display of our timber buildings and outdoor structures in Scotland. We’ve created a friendly, open environment for all visitors, from commercial clients to local homeowners, to explore our products up close. There’s nothing like experiencing these buildings in person: you can walk inside, feel the solid wood, and get inspired by real examples of our cabins and huts. Below you’ll find all the details to plan your visit. We look forward to welcoming you!
Location & Directions
Address: Milton Brae Road, Milton, Dumbarton (Glasgow), G82 2TX – this is where you’ll find our showsite and main office.
-
By Car: We are conveniently located just off the A82 (Great Western Road) on the western outskirts of Glasgow. It’s roughly a 20-minute drive from Glasgow city centre heading towards Dumbarton/Loch Lomond. Look for the turnoff at Milton (near the Milton Inn Hotel) – our showsite is a minute off the main road. On-site parking is free and plentiful, so you can easily park right outside the display area.
-
By Public Transport: You can reach us by train or bus. Catch a ScotRail train to Dumbarton East (on the Glasgow-Helensburgh line); from there it’s a quick 5-10 minute taxi ride to our showsite. Several bus routes from Glasgow also stop in Milton (for example, First Bus services towards Balloch/Dumbarton) – get off by the Milton Inn or Milton Brae Road stop. We’re only a short walk from the bus stop. (If you need any help finding us, feel free to call for directions!)
-
Landmarks: The showsite is in the village of Milton, just outside Dumbarton town. We’re near the Milton Inn and the north bank of the River Clyde. Being on the route toward Loch Lomond, you might combine your visit with a scenic drive – but even if you’re just coming from around Glasgow, you’ll find us easily with the above directions or by entering our postcode into your Sat-Nav.

What’s on Display
A glimpse of the Logspan showsite display village, featuring a variety of cabins, huts, and garden rooms for visitors to explore.
Our Glasgow showsite features the largest range of timber buildings on display in Scotland – in fact, there are over 20 fully-built structures on site for you to explore! This outdoor “show village” lets you experience our products in person. You can step inside each building, open the doors and windows, and feel the quality of the materials firsthand. There’s a big difference between seeing a photo and standing in a real log cabin or pod; at our showsite you can smell the natural timber, examine the craftsmanship up close, and get a true sense of the space and comfort our buildings provide. It’s an immersive experience that will help you imagine how these structures could work for your home or business – seeing is believing!
So, what can you expect to see? We have a little bit of everything on display to inspire you, including:
-
BBQ Grill Cabins: Our famous Finman BBQ huts are a highlight – step into a cozy grill house complete with central barbecue grill. You’ll see how these can make a year-round entertaining space for gardens or hospitality venues.
-
Glamping Pods & Shepherd Huts: Explore several glamping pod designs (perfect for holiday parks or extra guest accommodation) and even a charming shepherd’s hut on wheels. These give you a feel for glamping luxury – ideal for campsite owners or anyone dreaming of a unique guest house.
-
Garden Log Cabins & Rooms: We showcase a range of log cabins and garden rooms – from traditional chalet-style cabins to sleek, modern studios. These vary in size and wall thickness, so you can compare models suited for summerhouses, hobby rooms, or even full residential annexes. Some are furnished as home offices or lounges to spark your imagination for home use.
-
Home Offices (Fully Insulated): With the rise of working from home, we have dedicated garden office cabins on display. These units are fully insulated and double-glazed, demonstrating how you can achieve a comfortable, all-season workspace in your backyard. Check out their interior finishes, lighting, and layout ideas for productivity and comfort.
-
Saunas & Wellness Cabins: For something a bit different, we often have an outdoor sauna cabin on site (subject to availability). This might be a barrel sauna or a log cabin sauna – a great feature for hotels, spas, or even health-conscious homeowners. You can see the quality of the wood construction that handles high heat and learn how a sauna or hot tub shelter could fit into a leisure setup.
-
Specialty Structures: We haven’t forgotten larger-scale and specialty buildings. Our showsite sometimes includes an outdoor classroom or communal pavilion setup – showing how our timber buildings can serve schools or community spaces. We also typically display one of our annexe lodges or holiday chalets to represent residential-sized projects (ideal for granny flats or holiday park lodges). This way, commercial buyers can visualize bigger installations, and residential visitors can see options for full living spaces.
As you tour the grounds, you’ll notice each unit has informational signage with key specs and features. Our displays are kept up-to-date, and we periodically introduce new models or designs – so there’s often something new to discover on repeat visits. Whether you’re interested in a compact garden pod or a large log home, seeing the real thing up close will give you confidence in the durability and style of our products. We want you to leave with plenty of ideas (and you’re welcome to take photos for reference!).
Who It’s For
Everyone is welcome at our showsite – it’s open to both trade/commercial buyers and the general public. We’ve designed the experience to be just as useful for a business owner planning multiple units as it is for a homeowner dreaming of a backyard retreat. On any given day, we might host hoteliers, glamping site operators, restaurant/pub owners, and holiday park managers browsing for unique accommodations or outdoor dining spaces. At the same time, we regularly greet individual homeowners and families looking for that perfect garden room or cabin for personal use.
In short, whether your project is a simple town garden setup or a full rural glamping site, we have the expertise to help. Our showsite visitors include people planning all sorts of projects – from a single home office pod to an entire village of rental cabins. If you’re an architect, developer, or tradesperson, you’ll get to inspect the build quality and discuss technical details. If you’re a private buyer, you can take your time to find what matches your lifestyle and budget. There is no pressure to buy – our goal is to inform and inspire. We love meeting new people, hearing about your ideas, and showing you possibilities. No matter who you are, you’ll receive a warm welcome and tailored advice to suit your needs.
(Families note: children love exploring the huts and cabins, and they’re welcome under supervision. We’re pet-friendly too – feel free to bring your dog along on a leash while you look around!)
Appointments & Walk-Ins
Visiting our showsite is very flexible – you do not need an appointment. Walk-ins are welcome during all opening hours. If you find yourself in the area or have a free Saturday, please drop by! Our team will be happy to greet you and show you around. We understand that sometimes you just want to browse at your own pace, and that’s completely fine. You can wander the displays freely, and our staff will be on hand to answer questions whenever you need help.
For those who prefer a more planned visit, we offer appointments as an option. If you’d like dedicated one-on-one time with a specialist or you have a complex project to discuss, you can book a showsite appointment in advance (either through our website’s scheduling tool or by calling/emailing us). An appointment ensures that a specific team member will be ready to focus on you and prepare any specific models or information you might need. However, this is entirely optional – many visitors come without booking and still get all the guidance they need.
Large groups or trade delegations: If you’re coming with a sizeable group (for example, a team of architects, a coach tour of prospective glamping investors, or a class of students), we do recommend contacting us ahead of time. This helps us ensure we have enough staff available to give tours or presentations, and that we can make your visit comfortable (we can arrange enough seating and refreshments for everyone). We’re happy to accommodate group visits, including outside normal hours if necessary, by special arrangement. Just let us know your requirements.
Bottom line: whether you schedule a visit or pop in spontaneously, we want you to have a relaxed and informative experience. There’s no hard sell and no obligation – stay as long as you like, take notes and pictures, and come back as needed. Our friendly team is there to help whenever you’re ready with a question or want to talk next steps.
On-Site Services
We aim to make your visit both enjoyable and productive. When you come to our showsite, you’ll have access to a range of on-site services and amenities to enhance your experience:
-
Design Consultations & Expert Guidance: Our knowledgeable staff will be on hand to discuss your needs in detail. Feel free to bring your plans, drawings, or just ideas – we can often sit down with you for an impromptu design consultation. In fact, our friendly experts are here to help you design the perfect timber solution for your outdoor space. They can advise on custom modifications, planning permissions, insulation options, and any technical questions you have. This personalized guidance is free of charge – we’re passionate about finding the right building for you, whether you’re a seasoned developer or a first-time cabin buyer.
-
Complimentary Refreshments: We want you to feel at home. Visitors are welcome to enjoy a cup of tea or coffee on us when you arrive. Especially on a chilly Scottish morning, a warm drink can make browsing the outdoor exhibits more comfortable! We have a refreshment station in our office – just help yourself or ask a staff member. There’s no charge; it’s our way of saying thanks for stopping by. Cold drinks and light snacks are often available too. If you’re planning to spend a while exploring (many people do!), you can take a break with a hot drink at any time.
-
Brochures & Information Packs: You won’t leave empty-handed. We keep plenty of printed brochures, catalogs, and spec sheets on site. For any model or range you’re interested in, we can provide a brochure with photos, dimensions, and pricing to take home. We also have price lists, timber samples, and foundation information available. Just ask, and we’ll make sure you have all the literature you need. Additionally, if you prefer digital info, we can email you PDF brochures or a personalized quote after your visit. Our goal is to equip you with detailed information to consider at your leisure after seeing the real products.
-
Comfort & Facilities: Visiting a showsite should be a leisurely experience. We have outdoor seating areas where you can sit and discuss your thoughts – for example, a picnic bench in the display area if you want to pause and imagine a cabin in your own garden setting. Inside our office, we have a comfortable indoor seating area as well, which is handy if you’d like to go over plans at a table or escape any rain. You are welcome to use these spaces to chat with your family, colleagues, or with our team members. (And yes, we do have restroom facilities on-site for our visitors’ convenience – just ask a staff member if needed.) We strive to make the showsite family-friendly and accessible: the pathways are wide and on mostly level ground for those with mobility needs, and our staff can assist if you require any accommodations during your tour.
All of these services are provided to ensure you get maximum value from your visit. We know that choosing a log cabin or outdoor building is a big decision, and seeing them in person is a crucial part of the process. At our showsite, you can take your time, gather expert input, and really get a feel for each structure in a way that no brochure or website can offer. We encourage you to make a day of it – many visitors tell us how worthwhile it is to physically compare the buildings and discuss ideas on-site.
Ready to visit? Come and experience the quality for yourself – no appointment needed. Our friendly Logspan team will be here to greet you, show you around, and provide any help you need, whether it’s a quick answer or a detailed consultation. We truly believe that seeing is believing, and we’re confident that a walk through our cabins and huts will inspire you.
We look forward to welcoming you to our Glasgow showsite soon! Safe travels, and see you there.
